#35 - the first shoot of the year

Hey! Happy New Year! I'm 8 days late but it's okay right? (Since we're still in the first month of the year.) Wow, it's my first post and it's been almost a year since I'd started blogging in March and posting photos in April. Unlike a resolution, my wish is for this blog to grow in terms of the readership and I think it's not too big a wish right? hehe

Just 8 days into the year and I feel like I'm getting more and more busy. It's as if everything is on a tight schedule and every single time it reaches 4/5pm, I'll start to feel really tired and I'll end up sleeping on the couch. Then I'll wake up for dinner before going straight into finishing my school work and then going to sleep just to wake up the next day to repeat the cycle. Don't you feel that when you start to do something over and over again it drains you out? There's this lack of motivation? I start to think how I wish I had a PA. It could be just cos I'm still in the 'holiday' mood and I haven't boarded the train. I guess this is the part where I tell you that it is time to get back on board this train because there are so many things waiting and planned out for me. It's just the start of the year and the past few days in school has brought joy to me because I get to take pictures. Not only that, I get complimented for them which is always a good thing. Just yesterday, I had a field trip to MBS. (for international readers, MBS stands for Marina Bay Sands which are the 3 iconic towers overlooking the sea where the Central Business District can also be seen.) After we were done with lessons, I get to take pictures of some of my friends. && can I just mention that I love it when people are enthusiastic to allow me to take a picture so I'm really glad that I'm surrounded with friends like that! (:

I've always thought that shooting out in the noon sun was a bad thing 'cos photos would look overexposed but I was proven wrong. It turned out pretty good and this has taught me that I should be more 'open-minded' about photography. It's not always about what I've learnt about taking the best photos but it's truly about capturing the right moment. May I also add that actually a lot of other factors contributes to a good shot. The model, the atmosphere, the comfort, the chemistry +++

Yes there are many other better photographers than me and within such a saturated market, I wonder where do I fit in? But spending time on the word has taught me that it's not about what I can see that determines my circumstance even though I think about it sometimes. It's about the belief that my life will be in my favor because it will be guided by God through his never-ending grace and goodness.

So before I end this post, can I just challenge you/whoever you are who is reading to think positive because when you do, you emit positive vibes! Speak good into your life today (:

As always, thank you for reading x
