#intervention

Hey it's Wednesday! Not forgetting, my last day of class before the study break where I have assignments waiting for me (meh). Anyway, today's post is gonna be a wordy one. Here goes...

I don't think any teacher has ever spoken to me on a personal level ever since I started going to school. However, today this teacher made a change.

She gave me the assurance to do what I like and through all means use them to pursue it. In simpler terms, she meant YOLO. Given that I am quite afraid to make mistakes, she gave me a quote that I will never forget.

"As a student, you are licensed to make mistakes."

I think it has given me more confidence to take up a job that will give me the experience for my passion.

I talked to my parents about today and my Dad gave me a piece of advice that rings true and it's so simply put yet deeply conceived.

"We can make mistakes and learn from them BUT we don't have to make them in order to learn."

So, I guess we learn something new every minute of everyday. This process helps us to grow mentally and nurtures us to be the enhanced version of yesterday.

I leave you with the simplest words I can formulate to sum up today.

Be Bold.

#e.m.

You must be thinking "what has the photo above gotta do with the text?!" My answer, none. I just thought that it would look nice with the 'theme' for today's post. Anyway, thanks to Kerencia for this shot :)
So, blogging twice in a week is a treat because I finally have a bit of time to edit the photos that I have stored with digital dust laying on them in my phone and my camera. Reckon, I better get started.

I got to attend SRT's rendition of Othello @ Fort Canning Park. It started out pretty warm because everyone had yet to relax but as time went on, it was pretty chill with the occasional cool breeze that even the guy in front of me fell asleep. I thought that this idea of a theatre performance in a park where you can eat and chill is really cool so definitely a great place for a date ;)
For me, it was more a date with some great Poly mates I have. We talked, we laughed and we whined together HAHA

If you followed my Instagram, you would've known that I had a One-Pan meal Sunday and when my mom told me that she was making it again I was excited. I love these kind of meals rather than the standard food in the bowl (of course that would seem more civilised). This is really comfort food for the soul <3

One Pan Meal Sunday :
Carrot + Chinese Sausage + Egg | Tuna + Mayonnaise + Onion Powder | Sardine | Plain Porridge + Sweet Potato

For dinner, I had BBQ Pork Ribs with Aglio Olio. Personally, I felt that the rib portion was huge and me being the slow eater that I am, of course it took me a while to finish it. Overall, it was a great Sunday for me because I get to spend time with my family and that to me is enough.

Sunset's  are a beautiful creation. The magical descend of our natural light source and to be able to have the time to marvel at it is a privilege. We pushed through and we lasted through the day.
"I made it" is what I thought.

---

Surprised my mum two mini cakes.
Left | Eggless Tiramisu
Right | Eggless Durian Cake topped with White Chocolate flakes.
I have to commend that both cakes tasted good, given that it was my first time trying eggless cakes!

8am classes are always dreaded in the morning but once class starts, the groove kicks in. The lesson that day was easy, peasy and breezy.

We started with a game to get our energy up and indeed it did. I even got to the final round once and I was pretty happy about it given that I'm quite competitive ;)

I ended my day with a happy bowl of Curry Katsudon which had two portions of meat plus a good curry that complimented both the rice and the meat! If you should know, I love Japanese Food a lot :)

Recently watched a friend's performance in school and honestly, I think it was my first time going for a friend's concert. So, I was really excited when she came on stage plus the audience made the atmosphere high. I felt that it was pretty short but overall I enjoyed myself.

Dinner | Chicken Meatballs + Cheese Sausage wrapped in Bacon + Fish

(I know I look weird in the second photo HAHA)

Hurrah for bathroom selfies!

#OOTD for that day. Taken by Kerencia. It was a fun time to end the day with a 'photoshoot' in a secluded place at the TRCC with only the security camera staring at us lol

I love Fridays currently because classes start at 1230pm so I get to wake up a lil' later, take my time to get ready and have my breakfast. Adding on to the heart scale, it was bright and sunny with an occasional breeze blowing in yesterday.

 <notice my SB fetish yet?>

Bought a snack for my bro and I which helped keep my stomach happy till my mum came back with Bibambap for dinner. Ahhh, so delish because I get to live like a Korean for a moment like how they do in variety shows ;)

Moments like these help me to push on with the challenges in life. These are my Euphoric Moments.
So, what are your Euphoric Moments? :)

Thanks for reading, x.

#8 - iRecommend

On the blog today, I'll be recommending a variety show which I was being recommended by Kerencia!
I cannot tell you how much I love children so when she told me that such a show existed, I wouldn't stop watching it.

Introducing....
(all images from Tumblr & Google)

Also known in English as "Dad, Where Are You Going?"

So a little bit about the show first. It revolves around 5 celebrity dad's with their kids going on a weekend vacation to places in Korea. So, the main aim is for the kids to spend time with their busy dad's and for the dad's to spend time to get to know their kids more. One interesting activity is for the kids to gather ingredients around the village/markets and when their back, the dad's would then attempt to cook dinner for the kids as well as for themselves. So interesting right?! :)

Like I mentioned earlier, I absolutely LOVE kids so let's talk about my favourite kid first!

This is Yoon Hoo aka Hoo~
He is absolutely adorbz. Such a chatty kid and so innocently cute! He loves to eat thus the chubby cheeks and he also has a certain liking for Ji Ah who is also one of the kid's in this show. He seldom gets sulky so most of the time he is a chipper child :)

This cutie's name is Junsu. I love this kid because he is so silly like he loves to fool around and he is always smiling! Another thing I really like about him is the fact that he always does the opposite and what I mean by that is he doesn't do what all the other kids do. For example in one episode, when the other kids did snow sleighing sitting down, he did it lying down on his tummy!

Flower boy Joon~ I think he will grow up to be a pretty boy cos he's really good looking. (Noona has a crush on you~) HAHAHAHA I think out of all the kids, he is the coolest as well because he doesn't mind the hardship and always appreciates what he has. Not only that, I think he is a smart and caring oppa to his dongsaengs :) xx

Min Guk hyung! (couldn't find a gif though) Oldest amongst all the kids. Even though he is the oldest, he whines a lot. He is really caring and a loyal boy. I also feel that he takes the initiative like whenever the PD hands something out, he will be the first to come out and take it! However, when it comes to a bit of hardship, he starts whining. I think he does have the potential to lead so all he needs is just more time as well as training.

Last but not least!

Ji Ah! Who is the only girl in the group. Can you spot the similarity between this show and Running Man? HAHA I think Ji Ah is really cute and it's obvious that she is a daddy's girl. She is also outgoing and a really nice girl who gets caught up in animals and shopping!

---

So far, I've been really enjoying the show and so does my mum! Kids never fail to make my day because they're just so cute and innocent! Sometimes, I really wish I was a kid all over again so I don't have to worry about anything. Butttt that's life, we all have to grow up sooner or later.

Anyway, if you've watched it, which is your favourite kid and why? If you haven't, don't worry there are some websites that have the links up in English subbing :)

Thanks for reading, x! :)

#7 - RE:collect

Hey, it's been a week. How time really flies is a theory not many can grasp. It was a busy week in school, well in fact from now on I'll be busy doing assignments, being involved in events and watching a performance.
"What have I been doing for the past week? " is a question some of us ask ourselves.

(pictures are not in order)

I had pretty curls a while back which didn't last long but the power of photography is to capture the memory in a period of time. I played around with Photoshop but all I did were some basic edits.

(Beef stew)

(Huge strawberries)

One thing I like about supermarkets are the freshness of the fruits and the display of colors. I decided to explore that in the fruit section.

---

On Sunday, I discovered my song of the week. 'Your Presence Is Heaven" was stuck in my head and a moment of silence is all it takes for it to creep into my mind.

Dinner was served at a certain Japanese Spaghetti restaurant. It looks delicious but doesn't taste like it.

However, the chocolate brownie with ice cream was decent although the portion was too small to be shared amongst 4.

On (non) Labour Day, we woke up early for breakfast at LJS instead of the typical MAC.D before we fan'girl-ed' to Iron Man 3. Of course, it didn't disappoint because Marvel always does quality movies. For those who have yet to watch it, heads up; you'll be mind-blown.

(Post non-Labour day dessert : Strawberry yoghurt with Fruity Pebbles and Koko Krunch)
